Semiconductor solutions provider Tessolve has announced a major step in expanding its global presence with the acquisition of Dream Chip Technologies, a German semiconductor chip design firm. The deal, valued at up to Rs 400 crore, will give Tessolve full ownership of Dream Chip, significantly enhancing its capabilities in delivering advanced semiconductor designs.
Srini Chinamilli, the co-founder and CEO of Tessolve, shared with *ET* that this acquisition places the Bengaluru-based company among a select group of firms worldwide that can offer complete, end-to-end design solutions for complex and cutting-edge chips. This strategic move is expected to strengthen Tessolve’s position in key industries, including artificial intelligence (AI), automotive, data centers, and industrial markets.
Chinamilli emphasized that the acquisition also expands Tessolve’s European footprint, adding four new delivery centers in Germany and the Netherlands. These new locations will include a specialized lab focusing on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and imaging technologies. Dream Chip’s expertise in ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) design will further boost Tessolve’s ability to handle high-end, complex chip development projects.
“We are now in a much stronger position to take on leading-edge ASIC design projects, and Dream Chip’s capabilities will significantly enhance our presence in Europe,” Chinamilli said, highlighting the strategic value of this acquisition for both Tessolve’s technical growth and its global reach.
