iQOO India CEO Nipun Maurya has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated iQOO 13 will be launched in India on December 3, 2024. This makes the iQOO 13 one of the first smartphones in India to feature the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, alongside the Realme GT 7 Pro.
While iQOO hasn’t yet shared all the details about the Indian version of the phone, we can get a good idea of what to expect by looking at the Chinese version of the iQOO 13.
Key Features of iQOO 13 (Based on the Chinese Version):
- Display: The iQOO 13 comes with a large 6.82-inch 2K+ AMOLED display that supports 144Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming. It also has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, making it bright and clear, even in sunlight.
- Performance: The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and the Adreno 830 GPU, so it should offer excellent performance for both everyday use and heavy tasks like gaming. It comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, which means plenty of space for apps, games, and photos.
- Operating System: The iQOO 13 runs on Android 15, with iQOO’s own Funtouch OS 15 on top. This is expected for the Indian market, while the Chinese model uses OriginOS 5.0.
- Cameras: The iQOO 13 sports a triple rear camera setup, including:
- A 50MP main camera
- A 50MP ultra-wide camera
- A 50MP 3x telephoto camera
For selfies, it has a 32MP front camera, which should be great for clear photos and video calls.
- Battery and Charging: The phone comes with a 6,150mAh battery, which should last all day. It also supports 120W fast charging, meaning you can charge it up quickly when you’re low on power. Plus, it has an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, which is more secure and faster than the optical sensor used in previous models.
Pricing:
In China, the iQOO 13 starts at 3,999 Yuan (about ₹47,000) for the base version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and goes up to 5,199 Yuan (about ₹61,000) for the top variant with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The pricing is similar to last year’s iQOO 12 in China.
For comparison, the iQOO 12 was launched in India at ₹52,999 for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage model, while the 16GB RAM/512GB storage variant was priced at ₹57,999.
